Vandermeulen was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
She studied to be a jeweller at George Brown College for 2 years worked in her own studio on Palmerston Ave.
Forced to make some "real"
money she went back and forth, between working for temp agencies and the jewellery world.
Her mixed media experimental works reflect her fascination with this art form.
She continues to push boundaries.
